“I keep re-reading Wil J's horribly shortsighted review and I cannot fathom what his beef is with Tom. Had Hummingbird install a 8.55kwv solar array and the system is already outproducing our anticipated output for winter expectations. Perhaps If William did a bit more initial research, he'd realize that 2.5kwv max on a 3k system is not abnormal. In fact if he's getting that as an average in the Chicago area, that's actually a decent output. Getting a reasonable ROI for solar is very difficult in Illinois for a dozen + reasons and you can't blame the installer if you can't figure that part out. Tom was straightforward and frank with setting project expectations. He was always honest and accurate with his quotes and billing and saved me over $5000+ compared to other quotes on the project. He and his guys have done two relatively major electrical projects in the house since the solar install and my wife and I have been happy with his work.Tom's a local small business man and can only be in so many places at once. 4.5 stars for some (mostly understandable) project lag, and very minor work area clean up annoyances by some of his workers.“

“I was first introduced to A.J.L. Electric when my general contractor subcontracted electrical work to them on a home remodel. They have since been used on three additional projects at my house and I could not be more pleased with the service, their attention to detail and the professionalism they showed. Last month my son asked me to help him install a couple of ceiling fans in the house he had just purchased and when I opened several of the junction boxes, I immediately felt the current wiring had some problems and fixing it along with the ceiling fan installation was beyond my skill level. “This is the first time I have used Wooten Electric but I would definitely use them again. They were referred to me by a friend who knew someone who used them. We had a four foot long pendant light that has 5 hanging glass globes that needed to be installed on the ceiling in our dining area and we wanted it done right. We also needed the ceiling wiring box moved a few inches because it wasn't in the right location. They sent one of their electricians named Daniel who was very professional and knowledgeable . He completed the entire job exactly to our needs and specifications and the installed fixture is perfectly placed over our dining table. I wouldn't hesitate to trust them with any electrical needs in the future.“
