Alameda Vision Center

Alameda Vision Center is an optometry practice that receives praise for its very friendly and professional staff, described as nice, courteous, and exceptional. The doctors are noted as great, outstanding, and demonstrating remarkable expertise, with specific mention of successfully identifying critical eye issues and providing phenomenal care. The environment is welcoming, with features like a fish tank that patients enjoy.

However, experiences with the optical department and ordering processes can be inconsistent and frustrating for some. While many report a fantastic overall experience, others cite significant issues. These problems include feeling misled about costs and insurance rebates, with contacts and glasses sometimes perceived as very expensive or double the price of elsewhere. There can be delays, backorders, and communication gaps regarding pricing changes, such as additional fees for special lenses not initially discussed. Order complications, like receiving broken or discontinued frames, also occasionally occur, leading to extended wait times.

The practice is acknowledged for its good intentions and for actively working to resolve problems, often going above to find solutions and ensure patient satisfaction. They make sincere efforts to help, with staff dropping everything to solve issues. Ultimately, while the clinical care is highly regarded, the administrative and optical sales processes can sometimes result in stress and a sense of being overcharged, prompting some patients to consider taking their business elsewhere for future orders.
