I hired Les Roberts to repair water damage to my house caused by an ice dam and to tear down and replace the damaged roof. I advanced him a substantial sum of money for this job. He procrastinated all summer and barely started on the roof replacement when (late October) he said he would not be able to finish the job that year and it would have to wait until the following year to complete it. He left with half of my roof exposed and the damaged area not repaired. He kept the money I advanced him and did not pay for roofing materials or replacement door. I had contacted Les several years ago to do some repair work on our cabin. I made arrangemenst for him to do the work in the summer and he ordered and had the materials delivered to our cabin in July. the metal sat in our driveway through July, August, September and he continued to say he would get to it. Finally in October I tracked him down personally, and asked when he was going to take care of the repairs. He got very "huffy" and said if that was how I was going to be he would not do othe job. Next thing I knew he had come by during the week and picked up the materials that had been waiting for him to do the job for the past 4 months, and did not do the job.I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

Contracted with Les's about a year ago to fix leaks in my hangar's roof. I paid the full amount for the job in advance. They started the job (last fall) but then stopped stating that the weather made it impossible to do the job until the following spring. Now it's fall again and snow is falling. Roof still leaks and their equipment is standing against my building like it has been for the last year. Hard to give someone a good recommendation that hasn't finished the job after a year.Update: Work has started again on the job.Update 2: Never finished the job. Left a visible hole in the roof.
