I really had a great time during my visit. I booked online, arrived five minutes later and arrived to an open door, room was warm and lit and ready for me as a guest (thanks go Gaston sp?). I enjoyed the layout and the hot spring hot tub rooms that were private and exclusive. There were Three options, small medium and large. Tiled clean water was so refreshing. This place has it going on and a neat old school appeal that I can appreciate. The only thing I would do is update the sign on the main street and the look of the building and signage. The interior is fine. The exterior would look more appealing if it had an update. I hope you're around for many years to come....read full review

The riverside inn was a perfect one night stay for us! Wonderful staff with great amenities and yet still a cozy traditional and historic feel. We ate at the Portneuf Grille (the restaurant at the hotel) and had the chicken parmesan, potato skins and crab cakes and they were all sublime. The best my girlfriend has ever had, and she’s from Mobile, AL! After dinner we walked the quaint little town of lava hot spring and it is delightful. To cap the night we enjoyed two thirty minute soaks in the tubs they have on site and number 3 was much warmer than 2 but the perfect temperature difference to enjoy an hour.
