“I saw Dr Toby Hallowitz and Karin Michalk to help me after I suffered multiple chronic illnesses including C Diff. Dr Toby is a kind soul with nurturing guidance. He is very thorough with asking what medicines and supplements I was taking. I think he's very insightful and looks outside of the Western Medicine box. I love how easy he is to work with and he ordered tests for me that my former physicians refused to order! Not once did he try to push anything on me. He explained what he thought was going on with my body, and suggested a few supplements to take along with my current supplements. He told me what supplement brands I was taking that weren't the best quality and asked how i felt taking them. (I was taking a lot before I met Dr Toby) Dr Toby introduced me to Nutrionist Karin and together they helped guide me to heal my gut. If you've EVER considered getting the Genova gut biome test done, I highly recommend it. It is a bit costly, but the results show precisely where you stand with your gut flora and you can heal yourself from it. In my case, it was discovered that 4 crucial gut flora were inactive in my test results. As it turns out, the 4 powerfully strong antibiotics given to me at Kootenai Hospital destroyed them. Without taking this test I never would have known about my severe gut damage and would have suffered in silence with continuous stomach aches despite eating clean and taking pre and probiotics for 2 years straight. Karin guided me on what to eat to GET the non existent gut flora to thrive and it must be working because I FEEL better and can go several days without my probiotics.
