My husband just went there for the first time. He was very happy & pleased with his haircut. He's picky so I know he liked it. He loved the old homestyle ambience! So fortunate to have in our town of Winterset. He will be returning.

It's like stepping into a time capsule. Jim was very friendly and did an amazing job at a great price. $20 for the hair cut and $10 for the beard trim. He spent about as much time on my beard as he did my hair. Probably because he judges beards so he takes great pride in making sure you have an award winning beard. He doesn't take appointments so just stop on in. I would recommend calling ahead. As of the date of this review he is open from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday thru Friday.

This is an old fashioned barber shop. It's like walking back in time. This is the place if you want a great cut. My family has gone here for years. We have never had a bad experience and Jim is the nicest guy. I know the guy with the bad review must have been super rude to ever push a guy like Jim's buttons. I am sure if they were that rude to me, they wouldn't like my reaction either. He seriously is one of the kindest people I know. Plus you get an awesome cut. :)
