About The Preserve on Rathbun Lake
The Preserve on Rathbun Lake is a very nice and beautiful 18-hole championship golf course, consistently ranked among the top five public courses in the state. The 7000-yard course meanders through scenic prairie and oak savannas right next to Honey Creek Resort. It is suited for golfers of every skill level, offering a challenging yet rewarding layout with holes that reward good shots and greens in good shape. An on-site practice facility and excellent driving range are available. The course is Audubon-certified and features a fully stocked Golf Shop with lite food and beverage service. The staff is very polite, providing a great time, though some note the golf carts no longer have GPS.
A very enjoyable course to play. Tee to green outstanding conditions. Greens rolled very true with a couple with large swails. Only knocks on the course is the rough was very patchy and the bunkers lacked sand. But the positives far out way the knocks. Well stocked pro shop and staff was friendly.
