Raven deserves the world. I had a vague vision of how I wanted my hair to look and it came out even BETTER than I hoped. This was the first time I felt fully satisfied with a haircut and the dye! Raven was so so kind and constantly made sure I was doing okay. Since it was my first time going to this salon I didn't know how to book an appointment for what I wanted. Regardless, Raven still did the THING with my hair without having me block out the correct amount of time. Completely my fault and she didn't make me feel bad about it at all. I genuinely appreciate her accommodating me when you very much did not have to! I was a first time client so I can only imagine how she is with her loyal clients (which I will be from now on). I also want to compliment the staff! I had a few other stylists help out with drying/shampooing when Raven had other clients. So thank you to Ari, Sanaa, and Molly as well for being wonderful! The salon itself is big, well ventilated, and plays some BOPS. I was convinced they were playing my personal Spotify account somehow. Anyways I look amazing, everyone at Bang rocks, please go show them some love!!
Cassandra is the best stylist I've ever had, and I used to live in New York. It took me about 5 years to find her after moving back to the DC area, and I'll never see anyone else. My hair is brunette, very thick with a slight wave, and tends toward frizz; she has made me love my hair, and been with me from shorter than shoulder length through growing it out. My husband, who has thick, ringlet-curly hair halfway down his back also sees Cassandra at my recommendation, and he couldn't be happier with her service. She's talented, kind, funny, and efficient; what more could you want? (And the front desk staff is incredible, too.) Bang at the Yards is my salon, period.
Highly recommend Katie S! I was looking for a new person when my last hairdresser changed locations and was too far away. I googled best blonde highlights and Katie's name came right up. She is great! She's friendly, no nonsense, and FAST. I never feel rushed, but I love the fact that she can do an amazing job quickly. She's happy to talk if you're in the mood, but also happy to let you read or just relax if you're not.
