Proud mommy moment today 🦷 (long post, not sorry) Today was Swayzie's first visit to the dentist. Started off with her reading to me in the waiting room. Followed up with our turn to walk the hallway, which I dreaded because what child enjoys the dentist, right?! Even I get anxiety for some reason. So I sit down with her in "the dreaded chair." She proceeds to say no and push me away. So I scoot down some, and she still pushes away. Guys, she wanted to sit by herself in the dentist chair like a big girl. Anyhow, so the assistant was amazing! She sat with Swayzie and showed her all the tools and the noises they made. Kept her pretty occupied and comfortable in her surroundings. Once Dr. Barns came in, he pretty much told me that they don't do much this early but try to catch a peek in her mouth. Again, a child under 2years old doesn't really care for a stranger coming at them with gloves and a mask. Pretty scary! He has me sit in the chair with her with her. I'm thinking "oh my gosh, here we go. Count down to a complete meltdown"...... He proceeds to talk to Swayzie very calm and goes to open her mouth, and she lets him!!! He was able to look for as long as he needed to and not once did she squirm, fuss, or try to pull away. Calm. Angel. He let me know that was a great first visit! So once we were done, they let her pick out a prize(she chose a light up ball of course!). As we made our way to the receptionist, she waved at every patient aotting in the dental chairs along the way. Proceeded to smile for her picture, and then get this...... waving didn't do when it was time to say bye-bye. She wanted to give out hugs to them instead!!! My heart is still melting!!! What a sweetheart! She stole their hearts! Way to set the bar high Swayzie Jo! I'm so very proud of you! I couldn't be more happier with sending my baby girl to the same office I go to. They were absolutely amazing with her and it blew my mind that she was so comfortable with people whom she had never met before. I highly recommend this office! If they weren't as great as they are, there would have been no way my child would allow anyone to come that close right away or even look in her mouth. They offer comfort and reassurance and without a doubt that your in the best hands! Thank you so much! #tylerlinkandbarnes
