A year ago I started having a small burning pain in my chest- got it checked out and at first it was nothing then it got worse and ended up being a very large lung abscess/infection….doctors wanted to do major lung surgery with a long recovery. I wasn’t sick though, so we decided to wait and try hyperbaric oxygen therapy after talking to Dr. Hassel (who I have trusted with my health since 2007). I did 24 sessions and when I had my followup with Mayo Clinic, the abscess had collapsed and there was no further need for me to be seen at all! Although being overwhelmed with anxiety in light of an extreme fear of confined spaces, my first mild hyperbaric treatment turned out to be an amazing experience! It was a cakewalk and actually very relaxing after calming my worries. A big Thank You to Dr. Hassel for helping alleviate my fears by checking in on me periodically and providing encouragement during the course of treatment. I will definitely be back for additional treatments as I spread the word about this noninvasive and proven therapy. How great!
