I can't express how grateful I am to have had Nichole Shin as my wedding planner for our October 2022 wedding. From the initial consultation to the last dance, Nichole was amazing. Her servies were worth every penny! We talked to 3 wedding planners in Jan 2022, but chose Nichole. She helped us (in California) plan our dream wedding in only 9 months! She is warm and kind, and answers any question without making you feel dumb (even if I felt like it was a dumb question to ask!). Nichole does not do many weddings per a year (1-2 weddings a month). Some wedding planners do 50 weddings a year! Those wedding planners don't have enough attention to give your wedding. Because Nichole limits the weddings she does, she can focus on you and your wedding, which we valued. She is super responsive to our communication. She also sent us a sweet welcome package when we signed the contract with her. Nichole was also not pushy and non-judgemental when it came to decisions. She provided us the info to make a decision and let us decide.From the start, Nichole set us up on Aisle Planner. This had a VERY helpful checklist of what we needed to get done by when, and a budget section to track spending. She worked with us to create an initial budget. I loved that she could help us with deciding how to much to spend on different parts of the wedding. For example, she sent us example photos for each price point for flowers. It was super helpful! Based on our budget, Nichole recommended us a few vendors that fit our style and budget. It saved us so much research time to get a pre-vetted list and all the vendors were amazing. She helped us set up times to chat with all the vendors and we quickly reserved all the vendors. Nichole is so knowledgeable and experienced with the vendors as well. She knows which linen rentals company on the island is the best and which caterer's staff would be willing to help move chairs/furniture (from ceremony to the reception). Nichole also shielded us from the drama that was happening behind the scenes at the venue. There was some back-and-forth with the caterer at the last minute and Nichole helped with that.She worked with me to generate a design concept for the wedding. I already picked out a venue that I wanted (Dillingham Ranch). Luckily Nichole had done several weddings there before, so she knew the layout. I told her where I wanted the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and she figured out the layout for the venue (which tables go where, photobooth, DJ table, etc). She knew exactly which rentals we needed, so I didn't have to worry about it. She gave us a nice PDF of all the rental options and price points. Nichole made sure to review all the contracts we were signing as well. She helped me with the design of the table places and they turned out so gorgeous! She also helped us figure out a timeline for the wedding day and book a hotel block.When we came to visit Oahu pre-wedding, Nichole joined us at the venue to look around and confirm our layout worked. She also helped us book the caterer tasting and accompanied us (the cake tasting was the best part!). We also wanted a welcome event and post-wedding brunch. Nichole recommended venues for the post-wedding brunch (which we planned ourselves). She helped us print our stationary for the wedding and set those up on the day of the wedding. We were also able to ship Nichole packages via Amazon that we needed (i.e. frames, etc). We were able to borrow some of Nichole's items for the wedding as well.The only minor lapse on our wedding day was that the makeup artist did not follow the schedule Nichole created. They took too long, so my mom's makeup wasn't done in time for getting ready photos. But that wasn't Nichole's fault, and she later mentioned if I had told her earlier, then we probably could have gotten a partial refund! After going through numerous calls and emails with other vendors, the moment we spoke to Nichole we knew immediately we were going to use her for our wedding. From our first phone call in 2021 to our wedding in 2023, Nichole has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Nichole and her staff have helped us every step of the way. Not once during our wedding planning process was I stressed, which was so helpful as I was in grad school and am Type A.
