I had my first appointment with Ash yesterday. I am so very happy with my tattoo and the whole experience! Her shop is beautiful, private and a very relaxing environment. She is great to work with. I showed her my inspo and she created a beautiful design. I wanted to make a few changes to make it more me and she absolutely heard me and nailed it.Prior to the visit, Ash sends her clients recommendations on how to prepare, what to bring to make their visit more comfortable. Even those of us who have had several tattoos can forget snacks. Not to worry, she has small snacks and water if you need it. I’ve been to many artists and have had many pieces done, but this is hands down my favorite. I don’t care if you live in Kailua, the state of Hawai’i, mainland, or on the moon…this is the place to go. I’ve since moved away, but think often about the next time I am in Hawaii, because this will be a large part of my trip. Oh and all I told her was chicken & mokes..and this is what I got. Badass artist.

Golden Reaper Tattoo is a private studio owned and operated by Ash Balasco. While the studio itself is new, Ash has been tattooing in Kailua, Hawaii for 13 years. Ash specializes in custom bold, bright and solid tattoos that will stand the test of time. With styles ranging from traditional Americana, traditional Japanese, Neo traditional, black work, pattern/mandala work, lettering and cover ups. When coming to Ash for a tattoo all you need is an idea of subject matter and she will take it from there to create you a custom design. At Golden reaper tattoo the goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable throughout your experience. Ash wants you to leave with your tattoo expectations exceeded and feeling like a friend to the shop.
