We worked with Doug on a solar and battery backup system for our house in Princeville about 4 years ago. He's been great to work with, very knowledgeable in an industry with rapid changes, and always available when I have questions about our system or its performance. Aside from routine maintenance, our system has been trouble-free and a huge win in reducing our electric costs (important since we vacation rent our house a good part of the year, and guests are usually not very concerned about power usage). Before going with Solar Plus, I also requested information from several other solar installers here on Kauai. While i must say, that I didn't have any issues with any of them, Solar Plus (and Doug) really stood out. Why? Doug was great to work with and discuss ALL details of the project (he is very thorough and takes all the time you need to explain things). Solar Plus price offered the best value. And once the actual project was started, it was clear that Solar Plus has a great team - very professional, very friendly, and very conscientious about working with care. If you are going to work with any solar installer on Kauai, Solar Plus Kauai is the one to choose. Doug is very thorough, communicative, extremely knowledgeable in the space and has consistently adapted to the changes in solar on the island. 10 out of 10 would recommend his company being your first call when looking at solar on Kauai.
