Callahan Golf Links

Callahan Golf Links is located 50 miles north of Atlanta, providing a scenic experience close to the city while feeling like a retreat in the Appalachian Mountains. The course features beautiful scenery, which is highlighted in pictures on their website. It is considered a hidden gem, offering a challenging layout with elevation changes and several scenic holes in a bucolic environment.

While some reviewers note that the rough could be trimmed for easier ball retrieval, many agree that it is a great golf course for the money. The staff is friendly, and tee times are typically easy to grab. Although the pace of play is not strictly enforced—leading to rounds taking over six hours—others appreciate the value for the price. Some tee boxes are in pretty bad shape, with lots of dead grass, but the greens were reported to be in good condition. Overall, the course is enjoyable and not overly difficult for straight hitters, making it a solid option for a Sunday morning round. Carts may need an upgrade since there is no cover for bags if it rains.
