I’ve been going to the LA Fitness on North Lake for a bit now, and overall, it’s a pretty solid gym. The facility is clean, and I appreciate that they have stations with wipes and sanitizer for cleaning the machines after use — definitely a plus for hygiene. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and I generally feel comfortable working out here, whether it's during peak hours or quieter times. The only downside I've noticed is that some of the machines are a bit rusty or worn, which might just be due to age. It doesn’t affect functionality much, but a little maintenance or upgrade wouldn’t hurt.

This is one of my favorite LA Fitness locations in the area. I started coming here regularly while dropping my son off at work and it’s become part of my early morning routine.
The square footage is generous, and the gym is well-zoned: upper body, lower body, cardio, machines, and free weights are clearly separated, which keeps the flow smooth. Everything is always racked properly not once have I seen weights left out of place.
The 5 a.m. crew is small and focused. There’s plenty of space to train without crowding. The facility stays clean, especially the floors and machines.
I’ve been going to this gym for a few months now, and overall, I’m really happy with the experience. The standout feature? Hands down, the staff. Everyone I’ve interacted with — from the front desk to the trainers — has been warm, approachable, and genuinely helpful. You can tell they care about creating a welcoming environment, and that makes a huge difference, especially for people who might feel a little intimidated starting out.
The equipment is well-maintained, and there’s rarely a long wait for machines, even during peak hours. Classes are fun, well-run, and the instructors bring great energy.
