Went there Sunday and had a great day hunting for rocks, met a lot of great people willing to give helpful advice and what to look for in the piles, even the chert was great quality and took some of that as well. You need a waiver before you go but such a great quarry to explore and find great agates to put in my tumbler, definitely going back

I had them bring and spread some crusher stone for my driveway. He spread it perfectly just by opening the gate a little and driving slowly. I am waiting to have some chirt put on our road. Mr Patty was very nice.

OK Rock Hounds and Lapidary People. Patty Quarry in Summerville, Georgia is a place not many know about. This quarry sits on a fault line so the rocks here are simply amazing. When you drive buy you will notice this is an active Quarry and they are digging and crushing rock for road beds and paving projects. As a rock hound you are probably crying as you see this!! What kind of Rock? Lace Agate, crazy lace agate!! All kids of colors. You night eve get lucky enough to find a chunk of the out side nodules of the agate and if you cut it right it will be like a target bullseye!! So much here to find and very easy picking.
