I started going to Hanto Union Jiu Jitsu in the fall of 2023. I only went a handful of times, but I really enjoyed it. I started again in March of 2025. This time I've stuck with it and really enjoy it.
The Instructor, Mike, is very knowledgeable, patient, excellent communicator and an animal on the matts, all wrapped into one. If you're thinking about doing Jiu Jitsu Hanto Union is the premier place to learn!
If you’re looking for a martial arts school with appropriately rigorous training, great community, and excellent coaching, then this is the place for you. As a young man just entering the real world, I’ve struggled with confidence and self-acceptance. Training at Hanto Union however has helped me in improving my confidence not only with jiu-jitsu, but in everyday experiences with work, school, and future planning. I’ve now been training at Hanto Union for two years and don’t regret a single day. My life certainly has changed for the better since beginning, and likewise I recommend this school to anyone looking to improve any and all aspects of their life.
My teacher and teammates here at Hanto Union have inspired me to become a better athlete and juijiteiro. Besides the welcoming environment and positive attitudes of everyone, I like how the instructor incorporates different types of grappling techniques. I feel that I am not only becoming a better practitioner of BJJ, but I have better energy levels to handle day to day activities outside of the mats. We are extremely lucky to have this club here and I am privileged to be a part of this group.
