“When you enter Drift, you are immediately put at ease with the dimmed lights, peaceful sounds, and comfortable waiting area, but this isn’t your typical “spa day.” I have hypermobility and am always stiff. My physical therapist recommended clinical massage to help keep me more loose and decrease my chronic pain. It isn’t easy to find a clinical massage therapist (and especially one taking new clients), so I was beyond blessed to land with Shayna my first appointment. She took the time to understand my history, and asked for feedback on trigger points and level of pressure. She explained what she was targeting and why. I could feel (and hear!) the muscles, ligaments, and tendons being teased apart as she released the tension and created space for motion. She encouraged me to contact her if I experienced any issues after my appointment, which I greatly appreciated as my body does not react “normally.”

As Shayna gets to know me and my body, she provides recommendations that help me immensely (e.g., proper bicycling posture, a one on one Pilates instructor to help me strengthen my core). In only 3 visits, not only is my posture improved, but my pain and frequency of injury is greatly reduced.

In seeking a new therapist, I was warned that some will only target a certain area of your anatomy. My session with Shayna is nothing short of miraculous. I would swear we are over time, yet she spends what feels like forever (in the best way possible!) on every area of my anatomy so I leave feeling completely balanced. I can’t say enough good things! My appointments with Shayna are a must for my quality of life.“

Sophie is truly the best. I only go for deep tissue massages because I deal with severe neck and back pain, and I’m not a fan of the light, fluffy massages—I can put lotion on myself for that.
