I had been struggling with SERIOUS hair breakage, damage, split ends, uncontrollable frizz, and severe dryness for the last 7 years after receiving a horrendous curly hair cut at a different salon in Atlanta. From that horrible experience where I was not listened to and ignored, my hair paid the price and I in turn, avoided hair salons like the plague and hid my hair in shame, only feeling confident in braided styles.

I went to TraVani back in December to get my hair pressed and trimmed. I have had terrible experiences with natural hair stylists, and I have gotten heat damage repeatedly in the past, so I was a bit nervous about my appointment. What I really appreciated is that she LISTENED to my concerns and adjusted her pressing technique accordingly. She blew out my hair and lightly pressed it to get it straight enough for a good trim. She didn't put any more heat on my hair than was necessary while still making my hair look amazing. She also didn't cut off too much, she only trimmed what was necessary.
