About Nail 1st
Nail 1st, a local nail salon, offers a mixed experience for its customers. While the pedicure services are generally well-received, with customers praising the elite pedicure that includes hot stones, hot towels, mud mask, scrub, and massage, the nail services can be hit-or-miss. Some customers have reported issues with the quality of the nail work, with nails appearing "disfigured" and not matching the requested shape or color. There is also a significant language barrier, as the staff's English proficiency is limited, leading to difficulties in communicating their needs and preferences. Additionally, some customers have found the staff to be rushed and unwilling to acknowledge or address their concerns, with one customer reporting that their big toe was physically painful and resulted in an infection. The salon has also been described as pushy in trying to sell additional services beyond what the customer had requested. Overall, Nail 1st offers a mixed experience, with the pedicure services being a highlight, but the nail services and customer service sometimes falling short of expectations. Customers are advised to communicate their needs clearly and be prepared for potential language barriers and inconsistent service quality.
I have searched for two years for a salon that could get the shape and a design right since I moved to Smyrna. The service was absolutely amazing and the nails are perfect. I didn’t go with an extreme design this time because I just wanted to make sure that they could get the shape right. She went above and beyond. Pedicure was absolutely amazing!!!
I walked in randomly
Nana the owner is very kind and knowledgeable
She did what the previous salon I went to couldn’t do.
She is fast, thorough and very friendly.
Will be coming back for sure!!!
I visited Nails 1st three days ago specifically looking for my usual technician, but I was told she no longer works there. I was a bit nervous because she always did an incredible job, but then I met NaNa. I told her about my struggle with ingrown toenails, and she handled them perfectly—she really knows what she’s doing! NaNa told me to ask for her by name next time, and I definitely will. I’ll be back in two weeks just like she recommended. Thanks, NaNa!
