⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Warning: your dog may love this place more than you! My 4-year-old German Shepherd, Enyo, is usually a stage-five clinger who howls if I’m out of sight. But the second we pull into Shady Pines, she’s whining to get out of the car and bolts to the staff without even a glance back. Rude… but also the best feeling knowing she’s that happy and comfortable. Jackie and the team are amazing! They know Enyo’s quirks, send me photos of her adventures, and always follow up when I pick her up. This isn’t a “fancy doggy spa,” it’s better: a place where dogs can just be dogs, play with their friends, and come home happily exhausted. Enyo loves it here, and I couldn’t recommend it more!
My pup has been staying at Shady Pines quite often in the past 6 months. Not one time have I been concerned about his wellbeing or happiness while there. In fact, after his first stay the next time I dropped him off he hurt my feelings because he ran straight to one of the employees and didn’t even act sad to be leaving me! The daycare is great about providing tons of pictures and making sure that the animals are all safe and happy playing with each other even if that’s through a separate fence. I’m moving from the Sav area but know I’ll be still utilize Shady Pines anytime we come to visit for the best care for Gotham!
Do Not Recommend! I brought my girl for two nights and a bath as her normal place was full up. Didn't get any of the promised updates while boarded. Picking her up she was shivering from fear and I was told she had an accident when getting her nails cut, which I had said at drop-off I didn't want them to do. Get her home, take her to potty, and after coming in she began bleeding all over my carpet; they had cut her quick during the nail cut I didn't want and failed to tell me. She's got a wound on her hind leg, another on her stomach, and all her paws are inflamed. The next day I called the boarder. He said he told me at pickup he hit the quick, that it shouldn't have reopened after using quick clot, said he'd make it right without actually saying how, then hung up on me. I feel so bad for betraying my dog by taking her here and will never make that mistake again.
