About Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District
The Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District offers a convenient location on Bay Street, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and the river walk. The hotel provides clean, spacious rooms, some with views, and a friendly, attentive staff. Guests can enjoy a good breakfast, with special mention of a staff member who provides exceptional service. However, the parking situation can be challenging, with a small on-site lot and a nearby garage that may require a longer walk, especially for families with young children. Overall, it is an ideal spot for exploring the historic district. The hotel is described as the "nicest Hampton Inn" by one guest, with a great location near the riverfront. Rooms are reported to be decent, although there have been incidents of fire alarms being pulled as a prank, which the hotel should address with improved security measures. The hotel is well-maintained and clean, with a good breakfast offering. Valet parking or a nearby public garage are available options for guests, though parking can be an issue in the area. Guests have found the rooms to be quiet and comfortable, and the staff to be amazing, making for a wonderful stay.
First time here and I’ve had such a lovely time. Everyone from the valet, to the front desk ladies to the breakfast ladies were all so kind and welcoming. It’s also in a great location just to walk around and check out downtown. Highly recommend!!
Great location
When we got to the hotel the computer system was down. Therefore we were unable to check in until the evening. When we finally got in our room there was one set of towels missing and the rail that supports the shower curtain was broken (as seen in my pictures). So we had to shower with one hand on the curtain in order to not flood the bathroom. Besides that the room was not that clean, the bathroom floor and door were sticky and there was a smell of old socks in the room.
The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful.
