I moved to Savannah from NYC, where you can get a good haircut for $20 to $30 in any borough on any street. You can even get a top end cut and beard clean up for $40 to $100.
6 months in Savannah I've had four really bad hair cuts. Barbers who charged $30 to $50 and I could have done a better job myself.
Then I went to Christy's. You walk in and the place smells like a barber shop. I was greater kindly and asked If I was there for a cut. Thankfully I didn't need an appointment like half of the barbers I went too before. Seriously it's a barber shop. Walking in and waiting your turn is part of the process. I got an amazing cut. Time travel! Cash or checks only. A thriving actual Barber shop. Always a good haircut and the price is reasonable. For the first time in my life I actually look forward to visiting the barber shop!
