We took the river tour. It costs more but is well worth it. The horses are dead broke so very safe. We had a great trip even though we got caught in a storm. Just be sure to call ahead and make reservations, them watch the weather. The river trail is great and will be a very memorable event.

My horseback riding experience at Chattahoochee Stables was absolutely amazing.
I rode Max on the river trail, and he was the perfect horse for me; slow, steady, calm, and trustworthy. The ride was peaceful, beautiful, and so much more than I expected.
The trail itself was gorgeous, but the river portion was the highlight of the whole experience. We rode through the shallow water, and then Max took us a little deeper because, as the guide said, “Max loves to swim.” The cool mountain water, the calm pace, and the trust I had to place in Max made it one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had.
