About Landscape Group Inc
The Landscape Group Inc, established in 1995, is a landscape contractor serving residential and commercial clients in the North Metro Atlanta area. They specialize in design, build, and maintenance services, including maintenance programs, landscape and hardscape installation, irrigation, outdoor lighting, fire features, and water features. A client had an overgrown backyard with a failing wooden retaining wall that threatened their home's foundation. They decided to overhaul the entire backyard, choosing The Landscape Group after receiving ideas and quotes from other companies. The team, led by Frank, was praised for their responsiveness, communication, and friendliness. The project exceeded the client's expectations, leading them to switch their weekly landscape maintenance to The Landscape Group. Another client described their backyard as a "hilly mess" before The Landscape Group transformed it into a beautiful, level space with sod and rerouted irrigation. Multiple trees were removed, and the new yard is now the envy of the neighborhood. Over the past eight years, a third client has hired The Landscape Group for multiple projects, including a recent upper backyard install of a bocce ball court, sod, stone wall, and steps with irrigation, lighting, and plants. The client commended the professional crew for their consistent clean-up efforts and recommended the team for all landscaping needs.
I recently used them for a project. The end result ended up pretty good, but I feel like there were too many speed bumps and a lack of communication along the way. The workers were great, and worked hard. The manager, Sean, was very nice and knowledgable, but definitely seemed spread way too thin, which led to portions of the project being miscommunicated or missed, and having to spend extra time to get them redone. Our project consisted of replacing a couple areas of grass with artificial turf, another area with Zoysia sod, replacing some walkways, adding some landscaping, and trimming some trees. All of that was eventually done, but the turf ultimately had to be torn up, reflattened, and nailed propertly as it was ripply/bubbly at first and coming up at the sides. Some areas we had requested turf were missed at first due to confusion, lack of communication. I think they just need some better oversight by having more management resources or fewer projects so that the proper amount of time can be spent. Like I said, ultimately it ended up pretty good and the price was decent as well.
We had an overgrown backyard with a failing wooden retaining wall (as shown in the "before" pics below). The yard had very little usable space, and what space was there we didn't use. We knew we needed to replace the retaining wall to ensure the foundation of our house wasn't affected by the erosion from the failed wall. We figured if we were going to spend the money to fix the wall, we should go ahead and overhaul the entire backyard to make it something our family could enjoy. The Landscape Group completely transformed our backyard from an unusable, hilly mess to a veritable soccer field! We had multiple trees removed and TLG regraded and sodded the whole thing, including rerouting the existing irrigation system to cover the added square footage. It’s now absolutely beautiful and we (and the kids) couldn’t be happier with it. Best yard in the neighborhood!
