I have been visiting the clinic for approximately 4 years. In general, they have treated me well and I have received treatment for my condition. As a community clinic, they ask you for documentation to qualify for the discount scale, and you have to go through the process. They ask you to do the studies. I went to the Palmetto location and was horrified by Dr. Hood’s blatant discrimination against me. He stereotyped me, belittled me, and stripped me of my dignity with one extremely insulting comment. I abruptly ended my appointment before getting the bloodwork done. I was crying as I left the building.If it had not been for the very kind nurse practitioner Ashleigh Heath I would have driven away devastated. She ran out to my car and told me she couldn’t allow me to leave crying. She asked me what was wrong. When I told her she assured me that I would never have to see that man again. Used to be a great doctor's office with caring staff throughout the whole building, now it's mainly Latinos working there who only care to assist their own skin color. This place has gone downhill in recent years. I decided to take my business elsewhere.
