This place is amazing in every way. I have purchased wood for projects here for years and always get the best service, amazing selection, and excellent prices.
Recently, Aaron did an absolutely fabulous job crafting a custom table for me. I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. From beginning to end, Aaron made sure everything was perfect, taking his time and really letting me be part of the planning process. He is a true craftsman, I would highly recommend using him and shopping at Valley Fir!

When we needed a custom height kids table for our grandson’s birthday gift, Aaron Cowart and Valley Fir delivered! Aaron skillfully crafted this beautiful and sturdy table from Valley Fir’s incredible selection of wood, choosing a hard maple that should endure for generations to come. He finished it with a nontoxic coating. We added a little bible verse and some basic art on the underside, but you can see from the photo how well this little table is constructed. It will stand the test of time with two little boys, don’t you think? Job well done, Aaron!

Need lumber? Valley Fir beats the big box stores hands down. Pull around and have guys come to your truck and load the lumber for you or go to HD, fight for a cart, wander around until you find the boards you want, sift through the crappy boards, wait in line to pay, and then pull up, if there's room to park near the exit, and load your stuff by yourself.
Valley Fir makes it easy at similar, and often better, prices. I bought 2x6x16 boards and 6x6x12 posts for a deck. Pricing was cheaper than HD and Lowe's(who surprisingly always have the exact same prices).
