KMT acquired Mid South Security, we have had Mid South for 20+ years and have paid annually for monitoring. Saturday afternoon 12/31/22 the fire alarm went off, however not loud enough to wake anyone, is was a very low volume high pitch noise coming only from the panels. We called 911, the fire department came out and advised that our security had not notified them of the fire, the security company also did not call us. Cost is extremely high for what you get. System doesn't allow homeowner to do anything except monitor. I spent over $1000 to install two new wall panels to upon initial service. You can't do anything with them but turn on and off the alarm. No user controls whatsoever. Mid South has to come to you home if you lose signal with your wi-fi and then they charge $90 to reconnect. It takes a minimum of 2 weeks to get an appointment for so you're without a monitoring system for that period of time with no compensation on your monitoring. I strongly do not recommend this company or the company that recently bought them (KMT).
