K&R Roofing helped us out after Hurricane Helene hit the Augusta area and damaged our home—and they were great to work with from start to finish. What started as storm repairs turned into a bigger renovation project, and they handled everything we threw at them and guided us through the process from start to finish.
They took care of all our interior work, including two bathroom remodels, plus updating and repaired our living room and bedroom. Everything turned out great.
Wesley, our main contact, was amazing—always quick to respond and kept us in the loop the whole way through. He was especially helpful with navigating the insurance process (First time making a claim of this size for my husband and I) and worked super well with our insurance adjustor. Making sure they had all the documentation needed for the claim.
Our biggest regret - not hiring them for the roof and framing repairs we needed. Wesley warned us it would be easier to use one contractor for everything but wasn't pushy when we decided to go in another direction for that scope of work. Boy do I wish we only had to work with 1 contractor. If you’re thinking about hiring K&R Roofing, do it. They made a tough situation way easier.

I could rave about Kayla and her team all day. I am not a gal that wears makeup very often, so going into my wedding I wanted to feel beautiful and glam, but I also wanted to still look like me. Kayla and her team exceeded all of my expectations. They came in with such a calm and kind energy. They were super organized and neat. They did not make us feel rushed, and not to mention the fabulous job they did on all of my bridesmaids hair. They truly hyped us up every step of the way. I decided to switch up my hair from what I did at the trial, and Kayla was so flexible and willing to do whatever I wanted, and also made great suggestions. My makeup was exactly what I dreamed of. It was rainy and humid part of the day, and my makeup did not move a muscle. Where I was even more impressed was at the end, after completing everyone's hair and makeup, they offered to do touch ups on every single on of us. They even left bobby pins, hairspray, etc when they left for us to use if we needed it throughout the day. Trust me when I say you will not regret booking with Kayla!! She is truly the best!

I had the best massage experience today at The Spa. Peggy gave me the most thorough deep tissue massage that I have ever had. She was so experienced and methodical. Very impressed with her skill and the facility was stunning!

Anthony and Alicia are some of the nicest people we have ever worked with. This is the second home we have used Crossed Chisels on for our cabinetry and again we are amazed at how beautiful all of it turned out.

We wanted to add an under deck ceiling so that we can enjoy the patio during rainy weather. We were very pleased with the work that they provided us. When they came out to look at the project I wanted done they listened to me and provided me with different options and ideas which I appreciated. They kept me updated throughout the project and We were very happy with the craftsmanship and end product. We also think that the cost of the project was very reasonable! My husband and I stayed a weekend at the Southern Cross Guest Ranch for our 20th Anniversary and it's been our favorite anniversary trip. We are definitely going back, likely every year.
We've been on multiple horse trips before, including on our honeymoon. This place is different. Normally you get on an already saddled horse and follow in a line of horses on a trail for an hour, maybe two, and call it a day.
Here, you get more involved with the experience. The ranch assigns your horse based on your horse riding experience and you get to keep that horse the remainder of your stay. You get to brush your horse, help put the saddle on and after the ride, take the saddle off and lead them back to the field. You really get a chance to bond with the horse (likely the carrots helped a bit too) and feel like you're on a ranch, except you don't have to work as hard (although I'm guessing they wouldn't turn down a request to help clean the stalls if you were truly interested in doing so.)
When staying there, you get two rides a day at set times each day. The very first ride of your stay, you stick with the guide for the first hour. After that, you're free to roam the property on your horse in groups of two or more. The property is beautiful with many wooded trails that you can explore at your own pace. We saw deer a few times and got as close as fifteen feet from them!
The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. They start off at a walk and then if the entire group decides they want to canter, they'll canter. They help you along the way if needed and keep you entertained with stories. You can really tell they love their job.
All the horses are well-trained. Most of the guests were staying at the ranch but each day there were one or two day riders who come to join the rides. There were folks there of all ages and all experience levels. Whether you're a total beginner who's never been on a horse before or you're experienced, they make sure everyone feels safe and has fun. They even have some horses for sale!
The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The pleasant surprise was the food. I expected your typical group buffet food but instead it was absolutely delicious. We had steak and potatoes the first night, woke up to delicious hot breakfasts and coffee with REAL cream (not the highly processed stuff made from oil) and all kinds of great tasting food during the weekend. There wasn't one meal we didn't enjoy.
Beyond the riding they have a huge dining room with games that you can hang out in, a pool (closed in the winter), decks with chairs and tables, you can go for walks and they have a pond that you may be able to fish in (not sure).
We really had a smile on our face the entire weekend... and very sore bottoms by Sunday afternoon. The ranch is about an hour east of Atlanta on I-20, near Madison, so it's completely doable for a day or a weekend or longer! I'm a huge, huge fan of Southern Cross Guest Ranch. If you like riding horses, this is worth every single penny! Perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway, families, or anyone who wants to feel like a real cowboy or cowgirl without the hard labor.
I’ve just had a crown done by Dr.D. The process was very smooth and painless (upper back tooth and novocaine), and the temporary crown fit well. The permanent crown came back earlier than expected, which was nice! I had it put in this morning - easy and quick! Excellent job to the whole office. My husband and I have been coming here for years and we’re very happy with their service (with a smile!) Dr. D is great!!!
Went in for a big color change and Courtney understood the assignment! We talked about options, she listened to what I wanted and created a gorgeous color! I’ve been going to Courtney as long as she has been a stylist and she never disappoints! So glad to get to visit her at Mane Label! Now they even have a clothes selection, one stop shop! ??

I have used RFP for at least 25 years as my go-to plumber, performing services from carefully opening the drywall to find the leak was an untightened clean out (today) to removing and replacing a multi-foot section of sewer pipe to replacing a water heater. I have always found them to be responsive, respectful of my property and reasonably priced! Bravo RFP!! P.S. my favorite RFP plumber is Chris Om!

I've been having pedicures here for several years. I take my 87-year-old mom here as well. After being treated horribly at Fancy Nails in madison, I found this place. They are wonderful, friendly, gentle, kind, caring and great people! They are so gentle with my elderly mother. We love the folks here and we love this place! They do a great job!
