About Barrington Hall Golf Club
Barrington Hall Golf Club is considered a hidden gem in Middle Georgia. The course is in great shape with well-maintained greens and fairways. The clubhouse is suitable for events and the staff are described as friendly. The facility includes a driving range and putting area. The course itself is challenging, requiring strategy and precision, rather than just long drives. Some minor improvements could be made, such as updating cart paths, adding more sand to bunkers, installing yardage markers, and providing a beverage cart. The golf club could benefit from a website with membership and pricing information.
I have had the pleasure of playing at Barrington Hall the last few years. I quickly realized it was/is a historic and significant course to Macon.
The new ownership has expedited noticeable improvements in all areas of the property and every upgrade adds to the course’s playability. There is a clear plan that is being implemented.
Highly recommend this course for first timers and those who haven’t played BH in a while.
I’m dropping 5 stars on Barrington Hall, and here’s why.
This is a fantastic layout—**challenging, fun, and scenic**. It has long, rewarding driving holes where a great tee shot really pays off, along with strategic approaches that make you think. That alone is worth three stars.
As of Thanksgiving 2025 Barrington Hall is absolutely on the way up. The greens were smooth and rolled well and you can tell the course is trending in the right direction. New carts, new cart paths under construction and a genuinely solid group of guys who clearly care about creating a positive experience for every golfer.

Owner Jeff Moody has the course in outstanding shape. Greens are fast and beautiful. Fairways were clear of leaves and debris. Prices were very reasonable. We had a foursome come up from Tampa, FL for the weekend. We all have committed to come back.
