I've worked with Arthur Short over a period of eight years. He has helped me with repairs on my home and several rental houses I own. He is reliable, knowledgeable and very conscientious. I've contacted him for a fairly wide range of problems - roof leaks, plumbing problems, concrete path repairs, moving and leveling a shed, ceiling lamp repairs and wiring problems - and he has always come through. He may be a tad more expensive than other handy persons, but I can count on his absolute commitment to do things right. We were in the market for upgrading our shower since our previous fiberglass insert had a massive crack on the bottom. We looked around and got estimates from a number of places/contractors. We found Arthur on Thumbtack and he responded quickly. Unlike the rest of the people we had come out for an estimate, he was the only one who gave many different suggestions and ideas about how we should go about it. It was not from a standpoint of him trying to squeeze out more money, but for the quality of the job and the finished product.
