BluePearl, and specifically Dr. Whitehead, failed my 5-year-old pet dog, Nori.
Despite clear symptoms, Dr. Whitehead lazily treated her condition as allergies, prescribing random medications (none of which was to her benefit) without conducting proper diagnostics for MONTHS. We insisted that it was not allergies at every appointment.
It wasn’t until I insisted on a CT scan—months later because nothing was working—that we discovered Nori had a severe fungal infection. By then, it was too late. She died shortly after the CT scan. Alone. At the hospital.
After Nori passed, BluePearl conducted an internal review and falsely claimed we had denied the CT scan, which was a blatant lie by Jennifer from management; they found no wrong doing in their treatment for Nori. We were not instructed or given the option to do a CT scan. To make matters worse, they blocked us from speaking to Dr. Whitehead directly. How can they not let us speak to the doctor that provided care for Nori? Their response was not only unprofessional but cruel.
If you love your pet, avoid this place at all costs. These people DO NOT CARE —from doctors to management. Our dog died because of their care, and this can EASILY happen to you.

Wow! This place is amazing! Our dog Emma had an eye problem. All dogthamologists were booked weeks and months out. With a referral from my vet, Creekside, in Cumming GA, they took us in the next morning. Dr. Belknap knew the issue right away. It was a flap of tissue loose on the cornea. When I mentioned that Emma had an issue with kennels because of trauma at a shelter before we adopted her, they immediately agreed to take care of her right away. They performed the procedure to correct the issue and we were back home by 10:00 AM. It is now a week later and she has improved immensely. I am sure by the time we bring her back in a couple of weeks she will be all better. This was a stressful incident as we are used to vets having no clue what is wrong in cases like this. To get a positive evaluation and resolution so quickly was immensely satisfying. All of the associates at Blue Pearl were so obviously dedicated and compassionate toward Emma's condition and our concerns. It was a completely positive experience. Also, many thanks to Dr. Ashley at Creekside for helping to get us in so quickly.

The internist of record never physically touched my cat during my visits. Diagnosis was automatically one of three things and that was that. I was dopey enough to think he knew what he was talking about. My baby suffered about three weeks in his care. Then, too late, problem was seen by a Dr on duty there, during a midnight er trip. This Dr actually cared to look at my furbaby, NOT the assigned internist. I would not recommend all the Doctors there.

Last night, my girl was delivering puppies and we had a scare. We rushed the baby there and they got him in immediately. We were home within 30 min. Baby is doing great! I am so grateful for their kindness. I can’t recommend them enough!

Dr Whitehead was very professional and knowledgeable. He was recommended by my dog’s vet and dermatologist. Was very thorough and answered all my questions. Followed up nicely. Great Internist.

Couldnt have asked for a more caring and kind group of people. They took such great care of my kitty and was very honest with prognosis and did not make me feel rushed in making a decision. I highly recommend Blue Pearl. Dr Whitehead was the best!
