About Angela's Professional Hair
Angela's Professional Hair is a very professional salon with a team that works together, resulting in not a long wait. They are very friendly and fast. The salon offers services like braids, cornrows, and twists for men and women. The work is done neatly and not too tight, with styles lasting a long time. Customers report that the stylists know exactly how they want their hair. The prices are the best in town, making it a good starting point and a highly recommended place to visit.
I first took my son to get his hair braided as new residents to Lagrange. I was was happy that they did men, (many dont) he ended up with twists and he liked them so you know I was happy. I went as well and got cornrows. Although they were a bit smaller than I wanted they were done neatly, not too tight and lasted longer than expected almost 2 months. This is a good starting point for my family because some things they dont do but for the service and price I will be back.Services: Braids
I loved Angela's. The shop was very clean and the ladies that work there were very friendly and respectful to my little girl. They asked if she was okay. The atmosphere of the shop was wonderful as a whole. My daughter got the exact hairstyle she wanted and it came out beautifully. The price was fair, exactly what I had expected for as much hair as my daughter has. I will go back and definitely recommend it.
The first time in March 2017, I did individual twist. This time, I tried something new, cornrows and box breads. Chose a pic and showed to young lady. She said ok and they started. I even checked by asking, "Are you doing this?". She said, "yes". I noticed after they did the box braids that the cornrows felt farther back than in the pic. Stopped her after 10 cornrows and explained I wanted to wear hair up too. She got angry because the pic was not going up. I said it doesn't matter the cornrowa were not as far back and I did not think I had to explain all they ways I may want to style my hair. I apologized for the misunderstanding and asked her to fix it. She got more angry and told me I was "Wasting her time!". Asked what would it take to fix it and she said $20 more. Then she reparted my hair to make more box braids, shorten the cornrows, and said $30 more! I was angry, but paid since I was already there 4 hrs. She walked away talking and a new girl started braiding the extra box braids. She left the cornrows she already did saying I will be able to pull them up but shortened the rest. I said ok and left. 2 days later I tried to pull hair up and it did not work. I called to come in and get them fixed, the girl tells me "No, its my fault and I will have to pay extra". WTH!? I already paid extra to be able to pull hair up and I can't. Well, "the owner is out sick, but she will make you pay". I say call her before I drive 30 mins your way. "Owner won't answer phone". People ask me daily about my hair, but I will not refer this place ever again. I wasted $170 (brought my own hair!). I actually paid the extra money to keep the peace and they screwed me anyway! Disappointed and upset! I should never have continued when the young lady got nasty with me in the first place. Lessons learned....Watch their work and make all corrections BEFORE you pay & don't continue when they change the price regardless of time spent!!
