When it was clear that my parents were unable to be as independent as they once were, Home Instead in Winston Salem, NC came to our rescue. My brother lived in Maryland and I live in the Atlanta area - a minimum of 6 hour drive for both of us. It was extremely important to us, that my parents could stay in their home (that they had lived in for over 62 years), much longer, than they would have, otherwise. The Care Givers from Home Instead lovingly cared for my parents for over 4 years, until my mom passed away.
