The staff here from the front desk all the way through the hygienist and the dentist are amazing. I haven’t had dental insurance since I was a teen. I had to have the deep cleaning done and when she did the top she made sure to check in with me when she went to the bottom she could tell I was not numb so she went and got Dr Owens to give me some more , when he came in to put another shot in my mouth he was so sympathetic to how bad just the needle hurt.
I was pleasantly surprised how well my first time visit went today, atmosphere was great to begin with. Had a tooth extracted! They made me feel completely comfortable! Great experience . It really was a breeze! I was totally impressed!
It's all about the dentist! I first saw Dr Owens over 20 yrs ago. I always made sure my family got regular dental care, but I didn't go, thinking my teeth were too crooked. The previous two dentists I saw for extractions wanted me to wear braces, which seemed pointless and embarrassing to me, after 40. I finally found Dr Owens; he never pressured me to straighten my teeth. He gently explained my teeth weren't too crooked for care; I could avoid disease and keep those remaining with regular dental care. He cured my pain by filling two very large cavities, not promising how long they would last because of their size. I finally had one capped 15 yrs later, the other remains over 20 yrs later. I can't believe he was as harsh as described in one review - maybe there's more to that story that she's not telling or telling inaccurately. She admitted she already hated him, and had not felt comfortable around him since 10. At 15, if she felt that way, why would she not want her parent with her, saying she was old enough to go alone? Sure sounds a little odd to me, but I don't know, since I wasn't there. Perhaps some patients are more problematic than others. As for his claimed mistreatment of children, my son never had a problem with him and always liked him. All I can say is that for over 20 years he's always been very proficient, professional, prompt, kind, soft spoken and compassionate with me and my family. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
