We are extremely pleased with the entire process of having a failing treated timber cross tie wall replaced with a stone wall. From our initial contact with Carter Mason, including the initial meeting to design our replacement wall, scheduling of removing the failing wall, delivery of supplies to be used, constant communication of work schedule, skill level of the team, professional behavior of all involved, and the final cost was exactly as agreed upon which we felt was a very fair price for the level of difficulty. I can’t recommend Carter and the Horticultural Gardens team enough. After we had a retaining wall come down in our back yard we knew it was time to rethink the space. We had an overall design plan, and when we started taking bids Carter’s bid was not only the most competitive but he also improved upon the plan. He put great thought into not only saving us money, but also drainage and what plants would thrive in our shady yard. Once construction began his team was efficient, courteous and thorough. Despite multiple rain delays they finished on time and we couldn’t be happier with our new yard!

Horticultural Gardens did several jobs for me. Carter came out and walked my house with me as I showed him the areas that I had problems with. He has good ideas and solutions. I had them install dry beds in my front yard to correct drainage issues. They also retiled my covered porch which was severely cracked due to improper deck support below. They shored up the area below this upper deck by properly double joisting it. They also replaced some warped and cracked deck posts, properly cemented the bases and leveled the area underneath to prevent any post rot (see photos of the red clay on the side of the house where the dirt used to be).
