I drove over an hour to get here, and I don’t regret a single mile of it. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t go for what’s convenient, I go for what’s BEST. And the absolute best, of the best, of the best for pediatric dental care is Dr Davidson from Dental Town - Cumming. Not only did they work us in, last minute, for a toothache, but they wholly and warmly welcomed us in like they weren’t just accommodative, but actually happily so. It really felt like seeing and catching up with family. Dr Davidson was kind, familial, and so, so patient with suggesting what ways to move forward… and then re-explaining it, at least twice, in 6-year-old language 😂 We established a plan and had to come back in, first thing this morning for the procedure. Everyone from the ladies in reception, to the assistants, to Dr Davidson, himself were all so wonderfully sincere and encouraging and reassuring. Dr Davidson went in with a best and worst case scenario game plan, and the results ended up falling on the not so great side of those. Still, everyone was so comforting, attentive, and patient that my little 6 year old braved a whole extraction and one filling. Fully awake. I think saying that much in itself says enough about how incredible of a team and doctor they are, there. The fact that they were able to do that kind of work without needing to put him to sleep… I was in awe. I was able to be with him the entire time, hold his hands, and talk him through it alongside the assistants. He braved it through the whole thing. My heart is just… absolutely full to the brim, with gratitude and love for this place, and for the people here. Thank you for ALWAYS exploring all options, for trying to be the least invasive, and for handling my baby with so much love, and so delicately, when those options are hard ones. I’ve had previous dentists traumatize my kids just bossing them around and restraining them for a simple cleaning, so the fact that you all have accomplished what you have with my babies really says a lot about you and how much you truly do care and love your patients. The cherry on top of that whole experience, was the fact that when my son asked if he could take a prize home to his sister so that she wouldn’t be sad when she saw his, he was allowed to do so. That made my heart melt right out of my body. Dental Town in Cumming, and Dr Davidson and staff are worth the drive, worth the money, worth every tear and every single mile. Thank you for existing, and giving parents such an excellent choice of care. We love all of you guys!
