2nd Avenue Animal Hospital

My dog Oreo goes here religiously for daycare and his overall vet care services. We love them. They take care of my baby so well and love on him to the max. Even when he has to board, they take care of him so well. We love 2nd Avenue 🐾🫶🏾

On June 1, 2026 my little Rowdy Yorkie was struggling with a heart murmur that I was aware of, but I did not know how badly he was in trouble. I contacted my vet in Baton Rouge who advised me to immediately get Rowdy in to see if that as soon as possible. I emailed this clinic 2nd Ave. animal hospital, which is my granddaughter‘s Vet. We were struggling that day because my son had to have surgery, but I made an appointment for Wednesday, June 3. In the meantime, they advise me to take him to the emergency veterinary clinic as soon as I return from my son's surgery.

I have been coming here since about 2021 and I just really can’t say enough about this place. They are kind, empathetic, caring, and understanding. Their veterinarian, She is amazing..,you can tell she really does what she does from her heart. They are very fair and compassionate. I came in for ear infection with my puppy today. But a few months ago I had an emergency with my 6y/o persian cat and she passed away Within minutes of me arriving. The fact that they got me in last minute , at least gave me some type of closure they really did all they could and explained my options. I was a mess!!
