Their staff is passionate about teaching traditional karate and fostering a sense of community among students. The school prices itself competitively to make the sport more accessible. Instructors work with students of all abilities, even accommodating injuries, and provide quality training in karate, weapons, and self-defense. The facility is modern and well-maintained, hosting events like the IKKU Winter Camp.
We LOVE Robinson's Dojo. I am a ballet and dance instructor and studio director, so I'm from a whole other world of physical movement. When I observe lessons and belt testing, I see the passion that their staff has for teaching the material and the quality of community they intentionally foster. They price themselves lower than most to remove some of the elitism in the sport, which I admire (and my bank account appreciates!). If you're looking for authentic, traditional karate in or around Carrollton, this is the place you should be.
Billie and Larry are wonderful people and my daughter has been learning so much. They've worked around my daughter having a cast, focusing on cottas and weapons and self defense while she's recovering. Highly recommend!
I attended the IKKU Winter Camp in January. The facility is very nice... I wish I had such a nice place to train!The Robinson's are great people and great instructors. They have strong values and you can see that in their students, too.
