I have been using advent over 10 years. I’m considering finding new medical service. The orthopedic office lacks communication with their patients. I had a mri done few months back and they never contacted me to go over the results. I had to ask them about it months later. Also have been told my foot pain is 2 different things, they can’t seem to get it drilled down. Then today I contacted my family dr at owasa to get a prescription re-filled. Cayla returned my call and she was the rudest person I have ever dealt with at Advent. I was so angry when I hung up I was looking up other family practices in Calhoun to change.

My family has been going to this clinic for 25 years. We have seen a lot of changes especially since adventhealth took over and I can't say that they've been for the better. The providers have always been wonderful the front office staff has always been wonderful it seems to be there is a lot of managerial or micromanaging that goes on that suppresses the joy - that Owasa used to have. I will continue to go here because I I like my provider. If I could have afforded to follow doctor Naymik I would have left then - she is the gold standard of care.

In November my back went out and I saw np pulliam she prescribed me an opioid and a muscle relaxer couple days later I went to the ER because it just got worse Plus find out I'm not supposed to have the opioid or the muscle relaxer it makes me combative and the muscle relaxer makes me hallucinate. When I went to the ER the doctor immediately gave me narcan to counteract the opioid and the muscle relaxer. He put me on a medication that did none of those things was no opioid no muscle relaxer but the medication helped a lot with the muscle spasms they were acute.
