We are enjoying our "new" home. It is hard to believe that the same size kitchen could have so much more counter space and cabinet storage. Everyone that visits wonders how the house got bigger with the same exact footprint. We were unsure about shifting of the hallway walls to align the openings between the living room and den, but that turned out to be a superb idea. We can now enjoy the view through the windows at front and back from anywhere along that new axis. Also, we appreciate the new pocket doors for the den they recommended. We found more use for them than we thought we would. The renovated bathroom now feels like a spa. We appreciate their patience as we kept adding more items to our list. Our house really needed that extra work after 22 years of living here. Over the course of the renovation we came to realize just how important their expertise was. We certainly couldn't have done it without them.😀
SCAL created a beautiful and comfortable screened-in and illuminated back porch for us and our guests to enjoy one another and our outstanding view of the trees and the ravine behind our house. And we can use the space almost year round, thanks to overhead heaters and fans. They took care of everything, from design to implementation and permitting, so we had a worry-free project. The craftspeople they hired and oversaw were on time and friendly and at the top of their expertise. SCAL listened to what we wanted, a covered porch that still allowed us to look up at the sky. They are good and kind and resourceful folk whose work created something better than we had imagined!
SCaL recently completed a complete kitchen renovation for us in Morningside, including refresh work in the adjacent family room space. The ownership team has a great deal of experience together, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. We changed up the entire layout/appliance work spacing, which was a bit of a challenge working in a vintage 1933 home. SCaL found a way to make it all work to our design plan. Communication is key, and both the owners and our Project Manager kept us up to date regularly. Road blocks were addressed quickly and smoothly. Its clear they believe in their trade. We would highly recommend them!
