About Schneider
Schneider is a premier provider of transportation and logistics services, offering a broad portfolio of solutions including Regional and Long-Haul Truckload, Expedited, Dedicated, Bulk, Intermodal, Brokerage, Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, Port Logistics, and Logistics Consulting. The company's operating centers (OCs) generally provide adequate facilities, with showers, laundry areas, and vending options, although some areas could use improvement in cleanliness and maintenance. The staff is described as mostly friendly and helpful, with the exception of one employee at the service desk who received negative feedback. Schneider has a good training program. The Atlanta OC service/maintenance rocks, with quick repairs. Showers, washers and dryers are up front at the Atlanta OC. There are microwaves if you purchased hot food elsewhere, but no hot food. Tight parking for tractor/trailers at night, but they have a separate bobtail area. Showers are outdated but the job gets done. Mechanics are good. They communicate very well for the most part.
It's a great terminal but the shop needs to be better. They are always just standing around talking and not doing anything. I did my training at this oc a few months ago and it took the technician 3-4 hours to change out one tire on the trailer. For the first 2 hours he was no where to be seen. The training is great here, just be prepared to wait to drop or get trailers due to the training.
Maintenence department just stands around chatting like a bunch of school girls. No wonder we cant get our trucks worked in for PM services. They said theyre at capacity and to schedule ahead for oil change. Literally no one working.
Schneider has a good training program. Unfortunately I got let go because of alley dock backing. They did work with me I just needed more time personally I couldn't get it. I've tried other companies after but since Schneider is on my record of me graduating, no other company wants to deal with me.
