I first was diagnosed with breast cancer almost 50 years ago. Back then, treatment was total mastectomy with removal of all breast tissue, hard to do as a 22 year old single woman. Since then I had 6 reconstructive surgeries to try and improve my appearance and rid myself from the pain from contractures and hard breast implants.
