“This was the first time I'd ever done a boudoir photoshoot, and it was honestly one of the most uplifting and joyful experiences I've ever had! I have minor insecurities and often feel like I look awkward in photos, so I was pretty intimidated about being in front of a camera in lingerie, but I was so at ease throughout the shoot and had SO much fun with it.
Claire is an incredible hype woman and photographer! She's very specific about posing, which gave me a lot of confidence - I was worried about not knowing where to put my hands, but knowing she had a clear vision of what would look good made it easy to trust the process. (I actually felt comfortable enough to free-style a lot of poses myself, which felt so effortless and which I didn't expect I'd be capable of doing.) She has an amazing gift for highlighting the features I already loved about myself, and making me appreciate the parts I never knew were beautiful.
I also didn't anticipate feeling comfortable enough to do some fine art nudes by the end of the shoot - that was never part of my plan going in, but Claire created such a safe and fun environment that it felt completely natural and I felt so empowered and beautiful doing it.
I was also really impressed by how well she was able to capture the vision I came in with. I wanted to capture a wide range of aesthetics - cozy, elegant, intimate, bold, moody, etc. - and we covered every single one. I was shocked we were able to do so much, but am so pleased at how much variety there is in my photos.
I was actually almost more nervous for the virtual Reveal than the session, since I was worried I wouldn't love the photos. Instead, I was SO happy with them that I ended up keeping far more than I'd originally planned and had trouble choosing what images I wanted to keep! I'm a few weeks out from the original shoot date and looking back through my photos fills me with joy every single time.
I highly recommend seeing Claire for a boudoir shoot. It's hard to put into words just how wonderful and empowering the experience was, and I absolutely can't wait to do it again.”
