We had signs of an old leak in our guest room and we wanted to be sure there was nothing active. We also had an area of soffit that we thought could be rotted. Derek came out promptly and looked around and within a few minutes we had pictures pointing out some issues as well as proof of non issues. We ended up hiring Derek to punch out some tweaks to the roof to avoid some potential leaks down the line. While Derek was up there, he pointed out to us that the company that installed our gutters used the wrong size gutter guard and didn’t secure it properly to the roof. His pictures helped us contact that company, who came out promptly to fix that too. The point being is we felt Derek was honest and had integrity that made us feel comfortable with what he saw as issues where we didn’t hesitate to ask for him to correct it. The turn around time was quick and simple, and we had pictures to show the completion of the work. I can’t think of one contractor in the last ten years that has ever shown us pictures of their work for both validation and peace of mind. It was a breath of fresh air, and we know definitively that if we ever have any issues or need a replacement, we will contact Derek.
