I grew up skating here and I absolutely loved it, so I am devastated to hear that the owner plans to shut down the rinks and replace them with a picket ball court. Not only will this put dozens of hardworking coaches out of work, but force skaters to go as far as Duluth (the next closest rink) to skate. We already have several picket ball courts in the area, and Avalon's rink cannot accommodate hockey or figure skating. You are doing a disservice to the hundreds of awards won over the past few decades by attempting to remove the only ice rink in town. A petition with over 3,000 signatures was created yesterday, so I can only hope the owner will change their mind... read full review

I took my son to Adventure Air Sports. It was great. A wide variety of attractions. Great for kids of all ages. And they host Birthday parites. Buying tickets online and signing a waiver in advance is highly recommended. You will save yourself some time.

I went ice skating for the very first time last Saturday around 3pm. It was packed and the place was super popular! They also had areas to host birthday parties, sit down to eat (although their cafe was not open), and a store for buying ice skating gear.
For two adults we paid around $34. I'd recommend you look online ahead of time since the 'public skating' hours vary and you need to prioritize going at a specific time.
The staff were nice and answered our questions, like if the skate shoe size correlates to our expected shoe size. Just like a regular skating rink, you can take your time on the sides while the fast... read full review
