We had a short photo session due to a partnership with the PTA from my son's elementary school. The session lasted about 10 minutes and included a few poses of the family, a few of my son by himself, and a few with our dogs. We had to schedule a separate time to view photos and make purchases. There, we were presented with 4 photos of various sizes (all already printed). We were promised a free 11x14 print, which was also already chosen by them and printed for us. From there, we had a choice of a few packages, but the only real options were: 1) $250: Buy the digitals and prints of all 4 of the photos (the prints were completely random - some large, some small and you had no choice in which photos were in what size or quantity) 2) $225: Buy digitals and prints of 3 of the photos (again, totally random sizes and numbers) 3) Buy individual digital copies for $100 each. **So, why 2 stars? We've done this before. Last year, we were at a nearby elementary who had the same deal with a different photo studio. It was night and day compared to this. The other studio took maybe 50-75 photos of us in a 15 minute session. All very NICE, QUALITY photos. They didn't ask us to spend time coming in to review the photos - they just sent a link for us to view proofs where we could decide what we wanted to purchase. The other big factor: we could buy ALL 50-75 of the digital photos for $150. And Tanner is wanting $100 for a single digital photo? $225 for 3 photos? or $250 for 4? Honestly, the photos were better from the other studio too. Focus was spot on, unlike these. Lighting was superb, background and poses were varied and appealing. Tanner tried to do minimum work and charge exorbitant prices for it. I might not have known if I didn't have the other experience last year. I'll be sharing my experience from the other school with this school's PTA, and unless I hear of things changing where Tanner either ups the quantity of photos taken/offered a bit, or offers a reasonably priced digital package for those of us who don't want the prints, I can't see myself doing this again.
