I have Laureate for primary care and rheumatologist. Dr. Thakkar (rheumatologist) is great, have been seeing her for over four years. She's a good problem solver and very knowledgeable. She's help improve my quality of life. On the primary side there has been some doctor turnover for me but fortunately good experience with each.

One thing to be aware of is they are changing patient portal policy regarding doctor direct access. You now have to call in for a doctor's attention. A little less convenient but I can deal with it if it helps Docs help others more.

I have been a patient for many years, and Dr. Valdecanas and her staff are so nice and attentive. Whenever I use the online portal, get a reply within 24 hours. I am very fortunate to have a doctor I am comfortable with and one that I can trust.

I have been attempting to change providers for a month. Each time I call, I'm informed that the switch must be approved and that I would receive a call back within a few days. Today was the fourth or fifth call. The lack of responsiveness by Laureate Medical Group is extremely poor customer service. Their protocols for patient provider switching are ineffective and extremely frustrating. Laureate agents over-promise and under deliver!
