About LA Fitness
LA Fitness is a gym that offers a wide range of amenities at a great value. The amenities may include state-of-the-art equipment, basketball courts, group fitness classes, pools, saunas, and a Kids Klub. The Alpharetta club is particularly popular for its staff, hospitality, cleanliness, and constant maintenance. It provides a non-pretentious, friendly, and safe environment. Personal training is a standout feature of LA Fitness, with trainers who are knowledgeable, intuitive, and encouraging. They allow individuals to work at their own pace while demonstrating and motivating them to do more. The gym offers classes, a sauna, a pool, a jacuzzi, basketball and racquetball courts, and a world-class personal training program. The gym recently underwent a remodel, and the selection of cardio and strength machines is impressive. The free weights area seems to have everything. Additionally, trainers are excellent and provide great workouts during sessions with guidance for when individuals work out on their own. Overall, LA Fitness is a great gym with much to offer, particularly for those who live near the facility. Zumba classes at LA Fitness are a highlight, with instructors who are energetic, fun, and engaging. They motivate participants to keep coming back, creating a sense of community and welcoming atmosphere.
The new renovations are good and were much needed. I’m not entire sure what the new turf-like area is for exactly, but I’m happy we have three new squat/deadlift racks which are much more versatile than the previous squat/milpress racks.
Place is clean and doesn’t reek, sauna is good and smells like old wood which is nice, and the weights aren’t withered and old like they are at some places.
Also a big fan of the human centipede mural in the dumbbell room
#1 LA Fitness location in northern Atlanta, I've been through about all of them. Very friendly atmosphere with Operations Manager Jazmin, General Manager Jay, + Jeffrey at front sales desk & very active Weekends + Nights Manager.. Clean facility , chill atmosphere with members, very busy gym with large weights and treadmills, etc. area, racquetball courts, sauna - whirlpool, etc.. well worth the membership $$
The staff are polite, and for as crowded as the gym gets, seem to do a good job of cleaning and maintaining equipment… equipment used that much will fail eventually, but it’s usually fixed pretty quickly. During off hours it’s not bad, but during the after work peak can which can run 4-8 here many days, it can be tough to get the weight equipment you need because the gym is so busy.
There’s also an issue with people being on their phones in the locker rooms. I get being on mine in the gym for music and workout tracking, but put it away where people are showering and changing please… I haven’t seen anything suspicious but still, bad form.
