This is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He is also treated my dad and now my dad has perfect vision. I will never see any other doctor ever again. He has gone above and beyond to treat me and to figure out what has gone on with my eyes he comes in on his day off just to see you. The staff is excellent, and the doctor actually checks up on you. I would trust Dr. Mahootchi with my life.
Dr. Mahootchi was great at treating my complex eye situation! My conditions were: Cataracts + Astigmatism + Fuch's Dystrophy + Saltzmann's Nodules + prior LASIK. He has performed complex cataract surgery on me, and SK for Saltzmann's Nodules. His choice/and calibration of a Trulign lens has corrected my reading vision to 20/20. My opposite eye now sees 20/20 for distance. Monovision has me seeing all without glasses, and this is prior to treatment for Fuch's. He is closely monitoring my Fuch's condition. When there are concerns, Dr. Mahootchi has taken time from his busy schedule to personally follow-up with me, and I would not dream of using any other surgeon for future DMEK surgery. If you have cataracts + Fuch's, I urge you to see Dr. Mahootchi. Many ophthalmologists insist on implanting a monofocal lens, which typically means you will require reading glasses. If you are a candidate for other options, Dr. Mahootchi will not pigeonhole you into monofocal IOL selection. He does all he can to eliminate glasses. He has many firsts, yet remains concerned about cost to his patients.
